- Ensure your node's wallet is connected to the correct blockchain "Arbitrum One"
- Ensure there is ETH in the address to pay for registration
After registration, your node is at the Nova tier. At this point, you have not yet led any Sub Network. Going forward, the nodes you invite will form your Sub Network. After developing your Sub Network until it meets the specified conditions, your node will upgrade.
Under the OpenDAO Node Signal Model, your node harvests Dynamic Rewards from the deep layers of its Sub Network.
Each layer's Dynamic Reward is calculated against the Static Reward that the corresponding deep node earns from the BarkX Main Pool.
The transfer ratio decays as the Spacing between two nodes grows. Once spacing exceeds 20 nodes, the ratio decays to zero.
Higher node tiers, however, dramatically amplify signal strength and compensate for that decay — so the higher your tier, the larger the overall share of Dynamic Rewards you capture. A Nova node tops out at an 8% transfer ratio, while a Stellar Master can claim up to 16%.
| Spacing | Transfer Ratio |

To upgrade a Nova node to a Voyager node, you must ensure that your direct Sub Network contains at least 2 Active Nodes.
After upgrading to Voyager, your invitation capacity increases to 20 nodes and your signal strength improves across the board.
To upgrade a Voyager node to a Navigator node, you must ensure that your direct Sub Network contains at least 4 active Voyager nodes (or higher-tier nodes).
After upgrading to Navigator, your invitation capacity increases to 30 nodes and your signal strength improves across the board.
To upgrade a Navigator node to a Commander node, you must ensure that your direct Sub Network contains at least 6 active Navigator nodes (or higher-tier nodes).
After upgrading to Commander, your invitation capacity increases to 40 nodes and your signal strength improves across the board.
To upgrade a Commander node to a Stellar Master node, you must ensure that your direct Sub Network contains at least 8 active Commander nodes (or higher-tier nodes).
After upgrading to Stellar Master, your invitation capacity increases to 50 nodes and your signal strength improves across the board.
